Located at 338 W. Armitage Ave, Vintage 338 opened in April as a wine bar and restaurant with a focus on Southern European food and wine, namely from the regions of France, Spain and Italy. The trendy ambiance, where old meets new, welcomes guests to enjoy small plates while sipping one of the 20+ varieties of wine, all available by the glass or bottle (all are less than $40 per bottle). Every Monday through Wednesday, Vintage 338 features Flight Nights with flights of wine from a specific country.
The owners of Vintage 338 have over 30 years in the restaurant and wine industry and if they don't win you over with the moderately priced tapas plates, their perfectly edited wine list will. Simply put, the folks at Vintage say, "Our goal is to provide you with an affordable wine that exceeds your taste-buds, not your budget." Because of the experience behind Vintage 338 we feel that by providing a more streamlined wine and food menu we are supplying the patrons with a more authentic feel of the small wine bar/restaurants of Southern Europe.
Between the wine, food and music displayed in Vintage 338 you will feel like you are as close to Southern Europe as you can get without traveling.
Also, don't miss the the Vintage 338 Patio! It is open until 10pm during the week and 11pm on weekends! The only thing better than drinking wine is drinking wine on the sidewalk! Do it While You Still Can!

A coworker of my boyfriend had suggested this place- as it was new, and her husband is the chef. He immediately knew it would be a place I would like...so we tried it last night.
I have to honestly say that this is my new favorite spot, 100%. The waitress, Stacey, was so nice, eager to learn and take advice and give suggestions. She was polite and thoughtful, which ALWAYS helps the dining experience.
The food was to die for. Small plates (which I prefer) of cheeses, fruits, Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus, and more. The HONEY. Oh my word- put the honey on everything should you try either the warmed brie or the cheese and fruit plate (we had both). It makes it all melt in your mouth and the flavors are complete insanity. It sounds like I am faking this review or that I am the owner- I assure you I am not. Simply a happy patron who will return MANY times.
The chef even came out to see if everything was to our liking! It was so unexpected and professional of him to do so. What a treat!
The wine list was short, but PERFECT. The glass Stacey suggested is probably my new favorite wine. It had a little mix of different kinds of grapes (I cant think of the name of it and its not on the website)...combined together to make the perfect blend of happiness in my mouth!
It was romantic and quiet. Small and clean.

AMAZING!!!!!! We went here tonight for my 30th birthday - it could not have been a better choice... Great food and great service!
We sat outside, since it was a perfect Summer's night. Impressive wine selection - we stuck with a French Bordeaux. The food, small plates, was to die for - we had the bruschetta with fresh buffalo mozzarella, the crab cakes (lots of fresh crab) the camarones y salsa verde (delicious fried red tomatoes on the side), and the piatto italiano (simply fantastic -cheese, olives, prosciutto and salami ). For dessert we went with the Kahlua Creme brulee - to die for! And the best part was, the charm of sitting on a sidewalk with happy passersby walking around and conversing with the owner of a gorgeous great Pyrenees.
